I was honoured to be asked to meet with students recently at Lakes College on their T-Level Business Course. The Students were working through a scenario, as part of their course work, and together we looked at the objectives of the College aimed at integrating sustainability into their skills offer and daily operations, and how these objectives could be achieved.
Their objectives are:
- Delivering green skills and supporting green jobs in our local community
- Educating learners and communities to build a more sustainable future
- Developing a net zero campus and building resilience to environmental change
In a mock ‘Board Room’ scenario we worked through each of the objectives to understand what each one meant and considered actions towards implementation. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and ideas shared and was generally very impressed by the Students, and wish them all the best for their futures, and wish the College well in achieving their objectives.
